The 2009 recipient of the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award from Duke University is Ms. Annapurna Deo. This award seeks to perpetuate the excellence of character and humanitarian service of Algernon Sydney Sullivan by recognizing and honoring such qualities in others. A recipient of this award is known to her colleagues and peers as someone who exemplifies the qualities of generosity, service, integrity, and deep spirituality, as well as “nobility of character,” which the Sullivan Foundation defines as “when one goes outside the narrow circle of self-interest and begins to spend oneself for the interests of humankind.”

Program with Community


KDFH held an introduction program with the local community of the Research Triangle Park (RTP) vicinity at Himalayan Grill Restaurant in Cary, North Carolina on January 8th 2023. This talk was about the organization's past and recent activities at the birthplace of Keshav Deo in Rajbiraj area of Nepal, and near-future plans for the RTP area in the USA. The vision, mission and goals were shared, informing on what, why, where, when and how as general common questions. The program was followed by awarding two leadership awards to deserving recipients recognizing and encouraging their genuine work for their community services. It was an interaction program ending with refreshment. Thanks to all participants and supporters.
